Interview with WWE Hall of Famer Dory Funk Jr., who is a great part of the rich history of pro wrestling in Tampa. WWE will conduct WrestleMania for the first time in Tampa in 2020, and Funk Jr. is pleased about that. Funk Jr., 77, who famously trains wrestlers, managers and referees at the Funking Conservatory in Ocala, Fla, won the NWA title in 1969 at the Fort Homer W. Hesterly Armory in Tampa. Helping grow Championship Wrestling from Florida, Funk Jr and his brother Terry worked with all the greats in CWF, including Jack and Jerry Brisco, Dusty Rhodes, Harley Race, The Great Malenko, Jerry Lawler, Buddy Colt, Steve Keirn, David Von Erich, Mike Rotunda, Billy Jack Haynes, Mike Graham, and broadcaster Gordon Solie. Funk Jr. wrestled many CWF matches at the Fort Homer W. Hesterly Armory on Tuesday nights and participated in many CWF television tapings the next day at the Tampa Sportatorium.

The ring announcer for this event was Hugh Turley who was a local Orlando television personality. He hosted a popular kid's show called "Uncle Hubie" on WFTV. He later moved to WSWB channel 35 where he created the show "Uncle Hubie's Penthouse Barnyard".

While Kendo Nagasaki is easily winning his match with Brian Blair, Eddie Graham decides the time is perfect for a sneak attack on J.J. Dillon. That does not sit well with Kendo who gives Graham a brutal, well-deserved beatdown. Serves him right.
